About Alyssa Klein

Over the past 20 years, Alyssa’s distinctive professional experiences in international travel, education, and hospitality offer a unique global perspective to the Christie’s International Real Estate Barbados team. Alyssa holds a master’s degree in French Literature from The University of Kansas and a Higher Education Administration from Vanderbilt University. She began her career as a stateside director for Miami University’s Luxembourg Campus Study Abroad program, a role in which she was responsible for creating high-quality academic and intercultural programs for 300 students annually.

 

Alyssa also had the opportunity to serve as a French Language Destination flight attendant and flight attendant instructor for Delta Air Lines. She traveled regularly to Paris as the crew’s onboard French translator, mastered the art of delivering exceptional customer service to a global clientele, and developed a passion for teaching the foundations of five-star hospitality to incoming trainees. Throughout her career, Alyssa has also taught French at the elementary and collegiate levels.

 

In 2014, Alyssa had the incredible chance to live in Barbados on a full-time basis and experienced navigating island life firsthand as an American expatriate and also as a copywriter for the former Christie’s affiliate, One Caribbean Estates. From 2015-2017, Alyssa reported to Dominique and together they curated a blog that featured not only exclusive properties but also showcased the island’s array of luxury lifestyle offerings. In 2016, The One was recognized by Christie’s at a global conference in Washington, D.C.

 

Nearly ten years after they had originally worked together on the blog, Alyssa’s enthusiasm for golf and her love of Barbados brought her back to the “jewel of the Caribbean” as a foreign investor. She reconnected with her former manager and friend, and Dominique assisted Alyssa in securing her Caribbean dream home in the stunning Apes Hill community. In 2023, Alyssa and Dominique decided to officially become business partners and are thrilled to introduce a brand-new Christie’s International Real Estate Barbados affiliate to the island.
